Runners urged to sign up quickly as entries begin to fill up - 15 February 2012
The final available places in the MPH primary schools 1.5Km boys' and girls' races at Balmoral Castle are likely to be taken up over the next few days.
The races don't take place until Saturday 28th April, but already the capacity of 800 places is close to being reached as youngsters rush to sign up for the popular event.
The biggest race on the programme, the Stena Drilling Tartan 10Km, is also well on track to reach its capacity of 2,500 runners ahead of the official closing date of 9th April.
A full entry of 1,000 runners is also anticipated for the ConocoPhillips 5Km, while numbers are up on previous years for the Kongsberg Maritime secondary schools 2.5Km.
The programme for the second day, Sunday 29th April, is also filling up with healthy entry numbers in the Petrofac Challenge 15 mile multi-terrain race. There are also spaces available in the Taqa Bratani Diamond Jubilee mile.
