Race Day Tips - 13 April 2011
We want you to thoroughly enjoy your race, so please remember:-
Allow plenty of time to get to Balmoral and to get to the start.Car parking areas are some distance away from the race starting points.
Make sure you take you kit, number and race chip.
Write any medical condition and emergency telephone number on the back of your race number.
Fix your timing chip to your shoe, (see back page of the event programme for instructions).
Pin your race number on the FRONT of your t-shirt or vest, so that it can clearly be seen.
Be prepared for extremes of weather. It could be hot and dry or cold and wet.
Be properly hydrated - remember alcohol dehydrates, so its best to avoid it the night before.
Assemble under your correct age or time-band banner at the start.
Please do not overtake on the start mats.
Don’t run if you feel unwell or are injured.
If you are doing the 10km, do not over extend yourself on the hill.
